I have about 300 miles logged into these shorts and I cannot find anything wrong with them. If you look around for reviews online (Other than here) there is something mentioned about the letters falling off and leaving glue-residue behind. After a few washings, I can find no wear or peeling on them. I wash them with the rest of my cycling clothes/under armor on cool water and "hand washing" in the washer.
For sizing, I looked at both Amazon's and Castelli's sizing charts (Castelli's is here: [...]) Side-note: Castelli's sizing is in Centimeters so use 2.54 conversion factor from inches if you prefer :P
I am around a 32-34 waist (I think 34 length (inseam) too..something around there) depending on the brand name. So a medium was certainly in my sights and I ordered that. You may want to consider going up a size from the recommended (especially if you fall very close to the next size up recommendations). For me I haven't found any 'rubbing problems.' I bike about 30 miles 3-4 times a week with the occasional motivation to go farther. So for really long rides I cannot comment. The material is very stretchy (not see through though when it is stretched) and there are nice grips placed in the waistline and umm...the part closest to your knees.
As always, finding a bike/sports shop and trying on different brands/styles of shorts just to find what you like is recommended, especially if you're looking for your first pair (though I'd also recommend getting a cheaper pair first if you are :P ).
With the lack of reviews for this nice product, feel free to leave a comment/question and I'll answer as soon as I notice one is posted!
